Speech Pathologist
Director
Hi! I’m Talisha, a paediatric Speech Pathologist and the Director and Founder of Tiny Sparks Speech Pathology. I’m passionate about helping children communicate with confidence, connect with others, and achieve their goals through play and meaningful interactions.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked across a range of settings — from community health to education and private practice — and discovered my love for early intervention. There’s something incredibly special about supporting young children and their families as they take those first steps in their communication journey. I believe that every small success is worth celebrating and that therapy should always be engaging, fun, and family-centred.
At Tiny Sparks, I feel privileged to lead a dedicated team that shares my vision of making a positive difference in the lives of children and families. Seeing a child light up with pride when they learn something new is what inspires me every single day.
Outside of work, I love reading, spending quality time with my friends and family, and watching musicals.
Allied Health Assistant
I moved to Australia from England in 2002 with my husband and our three young children, ready for a new adventure and a fresh start. Since then, I’ve spent many rewarding years working in a special school environment, where I’ve gained invaluable experience supporting students with a wide range of abilities. Through this work, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how small steps can lead to big achievements, and how important encouragement and patience are in helping each individual to reach their potential.
Joining Tiny Sparks feels like a natural next step in my journey. I’m passionate about helping children grow their confidence and communication skills, and I love being part of a team that makes such a positive difference in the lives of families every day. Seeing a child make progress — no matter how big or small — is the most rewarding part of my role.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my dogs — we enjoy long walks and big cuddles! I also keep bees (yes, I’ve been stung — it hurts!) but the reward of delicious honey makes it worthwhile. I also love to sing and dance, even if others don’t always appreciate it! So being part of a show choir, where we perform twice a year, suits me perfectly. And of course, I’m always up for a good holiday, my dream destinations are Canada and Lapland — I’d love to see the real Santa one day!
